Version 1.1 Update Changelog


Corner Quest receives its 9th level and a whole array of new content and improvements this holiday season! Here is the detailed changelog for everything added to Corner Quest version 1.1!

"The Metal Update"

ADDITIONS:
-New Level: Tropical Crag
-New Tiles: Metal Mountain, Cloud, Fortress Tier 4, Super Cold Spring
-New Enemies: Vesprite, Freeborg, Mellima, Kallit, Gurinn
-New Boss: Acidior
-New Items: Mirror Crystal, Snake Smock, Brightwater Beads, Pirate's Cure
-New Sound Effects: gong sound when encountering bosses, swinging sound when enemies attack
-New Event: Shipwreck- fight a ghostly enemy on the seas to receive a unique item. Found on the Tropical Water Tile
-New Feature: Wings! Unlock and upgrade stat-providing wings in exchange for Sky Stones. Higher level Wings will require more bosses to be defeated
-Added Wings: Cloud Wings, Wraith Wings
-Added in-game description for Wing system
-Added Sky Stones as an obtainable currency. They are available from the new Cloud Tile
-Added Boss Medals to the main menu and second character panel to indicate which bosses that character has defeated
-Added a boss card in battle to clearly indicate boss battles
-Added a total progress bar to the Game Encyclopedia to easily see how many entries have been found 


CHANGES:
-Slightly increased the chance to encounter enemies in the River, Chaparral, and Glacier Tiles to compensate for encountering less of them in total: 25% -> 30%
-Forest Tile remains unchanged due to it being the introductory tile 
-Lowered the maximum number of base stat upgrades at the Scholar's Tower: 30 -> 20
-Lowered the knowledge cost for upgrading higher amounts of base stats
-Lowered attack power of Crystal Smash skill: 135% -> 100%
-Switched the unlock order of Lightning Spear and Divine Cleanse skills
-Shrine Tiles no longer spawn on the edge of levels 
-Base Defense upgrades are now 50% more expensive than the other base stat upgrades
-Bosses in the Game Encyclopedia now list which level they can be found in 
-Slightly increased the difficulty of enemies in multiple tiles: Cave, Bandit's Hideout, Ancient Ruins, Magic Temple, Flaming Temple, Golden Temple
-Adjusted the listed difficulties for Fortress Tiles
-Slightly adjusted layout of in-game menus 
-Changed some shop prices: Pink Medicine 150 -> 200, Strong Fairy Brew 500 -> 400
-Several minor adjustments to equipment stats
-Changed the price of Creature shard bundles in the Wild Shop- Mana Lizard: 120 -> 200, Lava Turtle: 240 -> 250, Gilded Lion: 360 -> 300
-Bosses from the third boss onwards now have a chance to cleanse negative status conditions every turn
-Throwing Knife battle item can now be found in shops 
-Changed the Item drop distribution from Temple and Cave-Like Tiles, generally lowering equipment drop chances
-Increased the chance of finding unique items from several enemy and treasure drops
-The Corrosion status condition now lowers defense by 80% rather than 100%
-Slightly reduced the health and magic restored by spring tiles


FIXES:
-Fixed bug where the corrosion icon would not disappear upon battle victory
-Fixed text discrepancies in the naming of the Wild Shop Tile 
-Fixed bug where player super armor allowed attacks to inflict negative damage
-Fixed text issue in the tile description for the Golden Temple Tile


Even with all these improvements, a 10th level is already in development (and an 11th and 12th are fully planned). Stay tuned for a larger content update in the not-so-distant future! Until then, enjoy Corner Quest!

Hey Dreary, thanks so much for the update! I've once again started a playthrough and enjoyed it a lot so far. I'm really looking forward to see the new level :)

Unfortunately, I ran into a bug after completing level 7 that blocks me from progressing. Whenever I try to load a new level now, the game fails to load my stats and equipped items, and I cannot move or interact with anything. There are some items missing from my inventory as well: one or two Pirate's Cures and a special necklace I got from the last boss. Maybe that's the cause of the problem.

I can send you my save game as well if that would be helpful.

Hi Marius, thank you so much for letting me know about this. I found that the issue was that the Pirate's Cure item was not added properly to the loading system and threw an unexpected error as a result (a major oversight on my part, sorry!). I've uploaded a fixed build (v1.1.2) that should make those errors impossible. Since the save data is stored externally, you should be able to download and run the new version instead and pick right up where you left off. I hope this helps!
